Víctor Mosquera Chaux (October 1, 1919 - November 5, 1997) was a Colombian lawyer and politician who, as Presidential Designate, served as President of Colombia ad interim for 8 days from February 3 to February 11, 1981.[1] A leader of the Colombian Liberal Party from an early age, he served as Councilman in Popayán, Assemblyman in Cauca, and Congressman in both chambers,[2] he was also appointed Governor of Cauca Department,[3] and Ambassador of Colombia to the United States (1987-1990),[4] and the United Kingdom (1967-1970).[5]
